Health tests clear the way for razor clam season next week


The latest round of tests for the presence for potentially harmful toxins in razor clam meat, indicate levels low enough that a planned razor clam season next week will go ahead, the state Department of Health and Department of Fish and Wildlife said Thursday.

Following are the opening dates and the time of the evening low tides and the beaches that are included:

• Nov. 13, Tuesday, 5:54 pm, -1.6 ft., Twin Harbors

• Nov. 14, Wednesday, 6:41 pm, -1.9 ft., Twin Harbors

• Nov. 15, Thursday, 7:29 pm, -1.9 ft., Long Beach, Twin Harbors

• Nov. 16, Friday, 8:18 pm, -1.6 ft., Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis, Mocrocks

• Nov. 17, Saturday, 9:09 pm, -1.1 ft., Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis, Mocrocks
