Hoquiam-based garment manufacturer Mario Winkelman was featured in the most recent issue of Iron Butt Magazine, a national magazine about long-distance motorcycle riding.
Mario Winkelman, father of Hoquim City Councilman Ben Winkelman, started LDComfort in 1999, drawing inspiration from a 11,000 mile motorcycle trip. The business operates out of the old Hoquiam Aquatic Center, making undergarments for motorcycle riders.
“Mario’s passion and relentless drive for perfection has moved long-distance riding from the dark ages of cotton to the finest materials available for your days in the saddle,” the article reads.
