All three incumbents in the 19th Legislative District brought home solid victories Tuesday night. All three stood with roughly 60/40 leads over their challengers.
Sen. Brian Hatfield, D-Raymond, won another term with 62.51 percent of the vote district-wide over Republican Rick Winsman, with 25,756 votes to Winsman’s 15,446. In Grays Harbor County, the margin was even wider, with Hatfield earning just more than 66 percent.
Rep. Dean Takko, D-Longview, was re-elected with 61.8 percent of the vote. Challenger Dixie Kolditz earned 15,591 votes to Takko’s 25,249. In Grays Harbor, Takko led with 63.8 percent.
Rep. Brian Blake, D-Aberdeen, won 59.2 percent of the vote, with Independent challenger Tim Sutinen winning 16,250 votes to Blake’s 23,593. In Grays Harbor, Blake’s lead was 64.6 percent.
All three lawmakers share a campaign manager.
“He’s excited tonight, he got three victories,” Hatfield said with a laugh.
