A Level 2 sex offender recently registered a new address in Hoquiam.
Anthony D. Jenkins, 42, now lives on the 200 block of Eklund Avenue. He was convicted of third-degree rape of a child in Snohomish County in 1990.
Law enforcement agencies are authorized under state law to inform the public when a convicted sex offender or kidnapping offender is released from custody or changes addresses. The offenders also are required to register their residence with the Sheriff’s office in the county where they will be residing.
The police report noted there are more than 19,000 sex or kidnapping offenders currently living in Washington state. Approximately 400 of these are registered to Grays Harbor County addresses. About 48 are registered to addresses within the city limits of Hoquiam.
