A Moclips man was arrested on charges of second-degree assault after he allegedly hit another man repeatedly with a wooden club, law enforcement officials said Tuesday.
The assault allegedly happened early Monday morning at the 200 block of Otis Ave. According to the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office, a 48-year-old man hit another man, who lived in the Moclips residence with him, repeatedly with a club during an argument. The 47-year-old man had “substantial” injuries, according to a press release, and was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. Officials said the dispute was part of a long standing argument between the two men. The 48-year-old was taken to the county jail where he was booked for second-degree assault.
