A 45-year-old Aberdeen man was hospitalized and is under investigation for driving under the influence after the pickup he was driving hit a parked car and then crashed into a house Monday night in the 1100 block of West Marion Street, Aberdeen Police said.
Officers responded to the crash about 8:30 p.m. and reported the driver had leg and neck injuries and “smelled of intoxicants,” said a news release. Officers are awaiting tests on his blood-alcohol level before formal charges are filed.
He was driving a 1992 Chevrolet S10 pickup when he struck a 1971 Buick Electra parked on Marion Street, police said. The impact then sent the pickup crashing into the front of the vacant house. Both vehicles were listed as total losses.
