Michael Sand, Timberland CEO, named to board of bankers group


Michael Sand, the president and CEO of Timberland Bank, headquartered in Hoquiam, was elected to the board of directors of the Community Bankers of Washington at the group’s meeting this month.

Sand has served as the bank’s president since 2003 and has been associated with the bank for more than 30 years. He serves on the boards of the United Way and NeighborWorks of Grays Harbor.

Founded in 1989, the Community Bankers Association is the only trade association in the state advocating exclusively for independent community banks, focusing on banking issues from a community banker’s perspective.
