No injuries in motorcycle collision

No one was injured when a woman driving a compact car struck her friend riding a motorcycle outside the Blue Beacon Restaurant in South Aberdeen Friday afternoon.

Linda Kelley of Spanaway said she was on her motorcycle, leaving the parking lot at the same time as her friend, a 54-year-old SeaTac woman, when the woman turned right without seeing her. The car tapped Kelley, who was able to jump free of the bike before the car continued over it. Kelley said she suffered only a minor scratch on her elbow, and her custom Harley Davidson is replaceable.”I’m the luckiest person in the world right now,” she said. The Aberdeen Police Department responded, and the Aberdeen Fire Department cleaned up motor oil that leaked from the motorcycle.
