One prison unit at Stafford Creek Corrections Center remained in lockdown Friday afternoon as prison officials continue to investigate multiple fights from recent days.
Prison spokeswoman Sheri Izatt said one medium-security unit remained locked down Friday. Security at another previously locked down unit was relaxed to allow inmates limited movement. The other five units have returned to regular security.
Most visiting hours were also expected to be restored Friday evening.
Izatt said prison officials continue to conduct interviews to determine the cause of three fights between inmates on Tuesday and Wednesday. She could not say what caused the fights or whether they were related.
No significant injuries to corrections officers or inmates were reported from the fighting.
