O.S. police looking for stabbing suspect

Ocean Shores police have released a photo of the suspect in a stabbing Tuesday in the 500 block of Duck Lake Drive Northeast.

The suspect is James Lemar Griffin, 23 years old, 6-feet-2 and about 225 pounds.

An arrest warrant for first-degree assault has been issued for Griffin, police said.

He is accused of stabbing a 31-year-old Ocean Shores man several times, including cutting his throat, after spraying him in the face with a chemical.

Police said the victim was able to identify his attacker as an acquaintance.

The victim was transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital and later airlifted to Harborview Hospital in Seattle where he was later released after being treated for his wounds.
