Pacific County Fair continues through Saturday

The Pacific County Fair kicked off on Wednesday and runs through Saturday at the county fairgrounds in Menlo — 6 miles east of Raymond on state Route 6 across from Willapa Valley High School. This year’s fair, themed “Lettuce Turnip and Beet It to the Fair,” boasts a full day of events today and Saturday, with the fairgrounds closing at 11 p.m. each day.

Here’s a look at the schedule:

TODAY

9 a.m. 4-H Sewing Expo Contest

10 a.m. Horse Arena Events begin

10 a.m.-6 p.m. 4-H Food & Clothing Judging

10:30 a.m. 4-H/FFA Dairy/Open Dairy Show

11 a.m. Carnival opens

1 p.m. Stage shows begin

6:30 p.m. Junior Livestock Auction

8:30 p.m. Stage shows resume

10 p.m. Buildings close

11 p.m. Fair Grounds close

SATURDAY

7 a.m.-11 a.m. 4-H Cowboy Breakfast

9 a.m. Horse Arena Events begin

11 a.m. 4-H Fashion Revue on Stage

11 a.m. Carnival opens

1 p.m. Stage shows begin

1 p.m.-3 p.m. 4-H Public Presentations

7 p.m. Fair royal coronation

10 p.m. Buildings close

11 p.m. 2012 Fair closes
