Police: Drug suspect could be armed

Grays Harbor authorities are searching for a 33-year-old woman as part of an alleged drug operation that resulted in the arrest of a 40-year-old man on drug and weapons charges.

Grays Harbor County Undersheriff Dave Pimentel said the couple was under investigation at two separate residences.

Drug Task Force detectives learned that both had extensive criminal histories and “were regularly armed with firearms,” Pimentel said of the couple, whose names have not yet been made public.

“Due to the increased danger presented by these two suspects, task force detectives stopped and located the male suspect away from either residence,” Pimentel said.

When stopped, detectives found what Pimentel said was a significant amount of crystal methamphetamine and black tar heroin, as well as several stolen firearms.

After the stop, a search warrant was served on an East Aberdeen residence and a motel unit in Central Park. Also, a search warrant was obtained for two additional vehicles.

“A significant amount of illegal narcotics, cash and two handguns were located during those search warrants, and the female suspect is still at large,” Pimentel said.

She could also be armed, he added.
