Police searching for golf course robber

RAYMOND — Police are still searching for a man who used a gun to rob the Willapa Harbor Golf Course at 2424 Fowler Road, just outside the city limits of Raymond.

Sheriff Scott Johnson said that investigators used their new K-9 dog, Diesel, a blood-hound, to track the suspect, but lost his scent on a street.

“We think he may have had a vehicle and used it to get away,” Johnson said.

The robbery happened just after 4 p.m. at the golf course and he was able to receive an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5-11, 200 pounds, dark complexion, wearing a black hat, black sweatshirt and Khaki pants.

Law enforcement officers from the Pacific County Sheriff’s Office, South Bend Police, Raymond Police and the Washington State Patrol were working the scene Friday evening, gathering evidence.

“Anyone having information related to this crime, or spotting anyone matching the suspect description are urged to call 911 immediately,” Johnson said.
