Aberdeen police were searching for an unidentified man who robbed the Timberland Savings Bank in South Aberdeen on Tuesday afternoon.
Police reported a man in his mid-20s entered the bank at about 2:45 p.m. and demanded money. No injuries were reported. The man fled on foot south on Clark Street behind Dennis Company.
Officers from several agencies converged on the scene, setting up a perimeter and sending out a K-9 tracking unit to search the surrounding area.
The man was described as 5-foot-7 with short hair, a medium build and a dark complexion. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, navy blue Nike cap, green knit gloves and jeans.
Police were unavailable this morning to provide additional details of the robbery.
