Raymond residents are joining in March Against Monsanto events May 25. Events have been planned in more than 30 countries worldwide, with numerous events throughout the United States.
Activists have planned the simultaneous events, starting at 11 a.m. Pacific time, as a protest against agri-business giant Monsanto, and as a show of support for proposed labeling laws for genetically modified food.
The Raymond event will feature speakers on genetically modified organisms, organic and non-GMO vendors and events for the whole family. Contests will be held for creative garden bicycles and “mutant vegetables,” organizers said in a press release.
Activities will take place in the park in front of the Northwest Carriage Museum starting at 11 a.m. For more information, contact the Raymond organizers at email@example.com
