Second accident in two days at Solki Road

A woman’s failure to yield to the right away is being blamed for an accident at the intersection of Solki Road and State Route 12 in Central Park Friday afternoon that involved three different vehicles, according to reports from the Washington State Patrol. It was the second accident in the intersection in as many days.

Diana Brubaker, 59, of Aberdeen, was driving northbound on Solki Road around 5:10 p.m. when she stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Solki and State Route 12.

As she was entering the eastbound lane of State Route 12 she struck a vehicle driven by Kathy K. Thompson, 61, of Montesano. Thompson’s vehicle then spun into the westbound lane and hit a third vehicle, driven by Maxwell T. Cotter, 72, of Ocean Shores.

Brubaker was treated and released from Grays Harbor Community Hospital, and her passenger, a two-year-old girl, was uninjured.

Thompson was also treated and released from Grays Harbor Community Hospital.

Maxwell Cotter and his passenger, Georgia Cotter, 70, of Ocean Shores, were not injured.
