Three men were arrested for disorderly behavior at the Quinault Beach Resort & Casino on Saturday that led to a group of police officers being assaulted, officials said Monday.
The incident happened at 1 a.m. Saturday. The men, all of whom were from Brier, had been “cut off” from service because of their aggressive behavior. The men were asked to leave by resort security, but were noncompliant. Two officers from the Ocean Shores Police Department arrived as a large crowd began forming at the lobby. Two of the three men, age 52 and his son, age 23, began pushing the Ocean Shores officers. An 18-year-old man, also the son of the 52-year-old, tried to interfere with an arrest, officials said, and he was arrested as well. Additional Grays Harbor Sheriff deputies, as well as officers from the Hoquiam Police Department and the Washington State Patrol, were called to assist. The 52-year-old was arrested for third degree assault, criminal trespass and failure to disperse. The 23-year-old was arrested for third degree assault, criminal trespass, and failure to disperse. The 18-year-old was arrested for obstructing, resisting arrest and criminal trespass. All were taken to the Grays Harbor County Jail.
