A three-car collision blocked part of Highway 12 in Central Park for about 2 1/2 hours Wednesday afternoon near Solki Road. The driver of one of the cars was injured, but in good condition as of Wednesday night.
According to the Washington State Patrol, Rasine A. Vidmore, 28, of Elma was heading eastbound in the outside lane on Highway 12 at about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday when she crossed the center line and struck Jeroen Dunant, 42, of Olympia in the left rear wheel of his pickup truck in the inside westbound lane.
Grays Harbor Fire District 2 responded and brought Vidmore and Sivonen to Grays Harbor Community Hospital. Vidmore was not admitted. Sivonen was admitted and in good condition Wednesday night. Dunant was not injured.
Dunant then struck Wendy J. Sivonen, 43, of Aberdeen, in the left front fender and driver’s side door also in the inside westbound lane.
Vidmore came to a stop in the outside westbound lane, and Sivonen stopped in the driveway of a home near Milepost 5.
Dunant stopped in the home’s yard just west of Sivonen, hitting and knocking down a light pole.
Vidmore crossing the center line was found to be the cause of the accident and she was cited for that, according to the State Patrol. All three were wearing their seat belts and drugs or alcohol are not thought to be a factor, according to the State Patrol.
