Three-day Dock of the Bay Blues Festival starts Friday

The 4th Annual Dock of the Bay Blues Festival will be staged on the grounds of the Westport Inn in Westport’s Marina District starting today and continuing through Sunday. It’s a rain or shine affair, so don’t let the weather keep you away.

The Westport Inn is located at 2501 N. Nyhus St. There is ample free parking in the lots right across the street from the Westport Inn.

Eleven acts with acclaimed performers are on the three-day program. There’s also a dance Saturday night, free to festival ticket holders and just $3 for others. Along with great musical entertainment, festival-goers will enjoy a beer garden, food booths and merchandise vendors, all located on the festival grounds.

Need a break? Follow the Westport Inn trail to nearby Half Moon Bay to stretch your legs on the Pacific shore. Local restaurants and shops are also open, many offering Blues Fest specials.

Tickets are $35 for the three-day event, or $18 per day. Ticket cost includes admission to the Saturday night dance. Purchase tickets in advance by going to or at the gate each festival day.
