Two motorcycle-involved collisions just outside Hoquiam slowed traffic down on Highway 109 near Hoquiam Saturday afternoon as thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts were expected to head to Ocean Shores for the annual Sun & Surf Run.
Both collisions occurred in the same area just before 2 p.m. on Highway 109 near Burrows Road.
The first accident involved a 52-year-old woman on a motorcycle, who was injured and had to be transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital, according to state Patrol spokesman Russel Winger.
The other accident involved a car and a motorcycle. No injuries were reported, Winger said. A 20-year-old Aberdeen man was driving. The motorcycle had a 44-year-old Puyallup man. Both vehicles were towed away.
No other details were immediately available, Winger said.
