Two people from the Quinault area were injured in a crash on Highway 101 about 14 miles south of Port Townsend Saturday morning after a car apparently pulled out in front of them and failed to yield before pulling onto an off ramp, according to a State Patrol report.
Steven E. Miller, 54, of Tukwila is said to have stopped at the stop sign at the end of westbound State Route 104, but pulled onto the Highway 101 prematurely. He was not injured, but his vehicle was a total loss, the State Patrol said.
The driver of the second car, Harvest M. Howell, 56, of the Quinault area, was sent to Jefferson General Hospital. Her passenger, Jason B. Christopherson, 28, was airlifted to Harborview Hospital in Seattle. No information was available Saturday night on the extent of the injuries.
All involved were wearing seat belts and no alcohol or drugs were involved, the State Patrol said.
