Volunteer fair is Saturday at SouthShore Mall


Saturday, Oct. 27, is National Make a Difference Day and you have the opportunity to participate locally.

The 14th Annual Volunteer Opportunities Fair is at the SouthShore Mall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Representatives from 35 organizations that depend on volunteers will be there, offering informational pamphlets explaining how to volunteer with their organizations and signing up volunteers.

Participating organizations include: 7th Street Theatre, Aberdeen Police Volunteers, Aberdeen Rotary Business Week, Action Committee for Tourism, American Legion Post 5 of Aberdeen, American Red Cross, ARC of Grays Harbor, Avalon Healthcare, Beyond Survival, Children’s Advocacy Center, Coastal Interpretive Center, Driftwood Players, Enchanted Wonderland Village, Friends of Makarenco Park, Friends of Schafer & Lake Sylvia, Friends of Stewart Park, Friendship House, Grays Harbor Community Network, Grays Harbor Sheriff’s VIP’s, Greater Grays Harbor, Inc., Gregorian Group, Habitat for Humanity, Harbors Home Health & Hospice, Heart & Hands Pregnancy Care Center, Hoquiam Crime Watch, J & J Solutions Foundation, Long Term Care Ombudsman Program, Montesano Trails Team, National Alliance for Mental Illness, North Beach Senior Resource Center, Ocean Shores/North Beach Chamber of Commerce, Our Aberdeen, Polson Museum, Quality Review Team and Union Gospel Mission.
