Volunteers sought for book project with Pacific Care residents

In recognition of National Day of Service, Pacific Care and Rehabilitation Center will host an activity from 9:45 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 19.

Former Aberdeen resident Nancy Gill has spent many months doing art and writing activities with residents of the care center. Recently the residents told her they would enjoy doing artwork with children and families.

The goal is to have one 8 or 9-year old, along with a parent, paired with each resident. Everyone would work on creating and illustrating a children’s story that will be made into a book. Each participant will receive one of the completed books.

Sign up by e-mail at ngill@hcc.net or MConnor@Ensigngroup.net or by regular mail to Nancy Gill, P.O. Box 337, Lilliwaup, WA 98555.
