Some of the warmest weather of the summer so far is forecast for this weekend.
The National Weather Service says after a cloudy day today, the sun should break through Friday in Western Washington with clear skies allowing temperatures to rise into the 80s over the weekend.
On the coast, temperatures should reach the mid-70s on Friday, and are predicted to peak in the 80s Saturday. Sunday is also expected to see highs in the 70s on the Twin Harbors.
In Seattle, onditions should be ideal for weekend hydroplane racing and Blue Angels air shows at Lake Washington during Seafair.
Forecasters say skies are already clear in Eastern Washington with temperatures in the 80s today, climbing into the 90s through the weekend into Monday.
