SEATTLE — Grays Harbor County Commissioner Herb Welch remained in “serious” condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle Monday, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Welch remains in the intensive care unit of the hospital, where he’s been since June 19.
Grays Harbor County Commissioner Frank Gordon said Welch is doing “slightly better” than he was last week. “He’s breathing on his own, but keep him in your prayers,” Gordon said.
Welch is chairman of the county commissioners. Gordon has been filling in since Welch has been gone.
