The Westport Winery will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Washington state 4-H programs from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday with appetizers and presentations from youth who participate in the agriculture program. Entry is free and donations to the foundation are encouraged.
The event is part of a statewide fundraising drive for the 4-H Foundation, with the goal of raising $1 million by 2015.
“4-H is a cornerstone in the development of young people and any opportunity to contribute to the advancement of this program is an opportunity to secure the future strength of our culture,” wrote Kent Hojem, CEO of Western Washington Fair and past president of the Washington State 4-H Foundation.
