Snow surfing

Northwest winds produced 3-foot waves at Stony Point, Minn., bringing out surfers despite frigid temps on Thursday. Among them was a surfer who went only by the name “Hollywood,” who said he moved to the area from California because surfing in California “has been ruined by too many people.” He called surfing at Stony Point a “gem” and said he relishes the solitude he finds during winter surfing there.
