Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler and her husband, Daniel Beutler, are expecting a baby.
Herrera Beutler, 34, is due in the fall, according to her Facebook page.
The Camas Republican and her husband, Daniel Beutler, married in August 2009.
“A few years ago when I was newly married and recently elected to Congress, I remember fielding some speculation as to whether or not I was expecting,” Herrera Beutler wrote today on her Facebook page. “Well… my husband Dan and I are thrilled to announce that this fall, there will be yet another person in Southwest Washington who will — for their entire adult life — get to explain ‘No, no, it’s pronounced Butler.’ That’s right — we’re expecting a baby.”
Herrera Beutler said she’s grateful that both sets of the baby’s grandparents, Paul and Patti Beutler of Salem and Armando and Candice Herrera of Camas, live nearby to help out.
The congresswoman was elected in November 2010.
