A small commercial fishing vessel is sinking off the coast of Grays Harbor, the Coast Guard reported.
The two men on board were evacuated safely by the Coast Guard, but they were unable to save the vessel. The cause of the leak was not identified, and more than 2,000 gallons of water were onboard by the time Coast Guard vessels arrived.
The boat, named Koprindo, went down about 30 miles northwest of the Grays Harbor bar. It’s an 85 foot vessel with a 500 gallon fuel tank. Officials didn’t know if the tank was full when the boat sank. It was coming from Canada to a new home port and had recently passed customs at Neah Bay.
