Anne Marie Mayton Haugland


Anne M. Mayton Haugland was born on December 11, 1950, in Aberdeen, Washington to Leona (Bouchard) and Robert J. Mayton. She passed away on December 15, 2012, at the University of Washington Hospital in Seattle at the age of 62. She had been a resident of Seattle for thirty plus years.

Anne attended St. Marys Elementary School and graduated from J.M. Weatherwax High School in 1969. She graduated from Grays Harbor College in 1971, Washington State University in Pullman in 1973 with her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree and the University of Washington in 1994 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She worked as an Occupational Therapist in nursing facilities in the Seattle area and at the Northwest Hospital for 28 years.

Anne was a patron member of the Seattle Art Museum and had many hobbies including painting, skiing and visiting art museums around the world. She had visited museums in England, the Netherlands and France.

Anne is survived by her husband, Lynn Haugland of Seattle; mother, Leona Mayton of Aberdeen; brothers, Robert (Susan) of Aberdeen and John (Sandra) of Quinault; nieces, Jenny Mayton (Tim Beaudin) and Amy Mayton; nephews, Robert and Michael Mayton; and great-nieces, McKaylee and Rylan Beaudin.

There will be a memorial mass at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 18, 2013, at St Marys Church in Aberdeen with a lunch to follow in the Parish Hall.
