Barbara Jean Meagher passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at her home in Montesano. She was 76. Barbara was born on November 18, 1935, in Spokane, Washington, to Edwin and Eldora (Peterson) Atwood.
On July 6, 1953, Barbara married Vincent Paul Meagher in Stevenson, Wash. He passed away March 20, 2011.
Barbara was an AVON Lady and also belonged to the Montesano Orthopedic Guild. She loved to knit and crochet and made many lap blankets for nursing home and hospice patients. She also enjoyed doing plastic art.
Barbara is survived by her three daughters, Pamela Russell of Winter Garden, Fla.; Patricia Harner of Sequim; Sandra Craig of Everett; two sons, Jace of Olympia and Andrew Meagher of Virginia; siblings, Bonnie Filyaw of Aberdeen; Joan Filyaw of Hoquiam; Darlene Truann and Ken Mills both of Spokane; Randa Guerico of Heideberg, Miss.; Karen Ebright of Tenn., eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Paul; Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Glenn Mills; sister, Joyce Stroup; and brothers, Dale Atwood and Ronald Mills.
A memorial service and reception will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, May 4, 2012, in the chapel at Harrison Family Mortuary located at 311 W.
