Bonnie Jean Roberts, passed away on December 21, 2012, at 5:30 a.m. at St Peters Hospital, Olympia. She was a resident of Montesano, Washington. She is survived by her nephew Tom, his wife Stephaney and daughter Tiffany; as well as grandchildren, Chanin, Cher, and Chayne and his wife, Layna; and great-grandchildren Kalan, Kamron, and Kaia; as well as cousin, Grace who she was very close with. An Army wife, she was married in 1946 to William Roberts and traveled the world as he was re-assigned and promoted. After Williams retirement from the Army they returned home to Washington to build a second house on the farm in Brady. She managed Browers Clothing Store for ten years, before taking over Hill Top Gull from her husband when he became ill in 1985. She very successfully ran that business, expanding to a second store at Hogan’s Corner, before retiring in 2007 to live on the farm in Brady where she was born in 1930. Bonnie loved to garden, and was well known for her cooking, baking pies for holidays and even many local functions.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Whiteside Family Mortuary in Elma preceded by a viewing from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
