They resided in Olympia prior to coming to Hoquiam over 57 years ago. For numerous years she had worked for the Hoquiam School District as a cook’s helper at the Emerson Grade School and then as a paraeducator at Central Grade School.
Eileen was a longtime member of the Our Lady of Good Help Catholic Church in Hoquiam and she assisted in their church Bingo. She was an avid reader; she especially enjoyed novels by John Grisham and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Her travels had taken her to the Oregon coast, Kentucky and Hawaii. She liked watching her kids and grandkids in their sporting events. She fondly remembered her whole family getting together for her 50th wedding anniversary. She was proud of her family and the fact that all of her six kids were Hoquiam High School and college graduates. She will forever be remembered for her awesome apple sauce and her amazing chocolate chip cookies.
