Clarine Catherine “Punky” Price Williams went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 7, 2012, in Aberdeen. She was 71. Clarine was born on March 21, 1941, in Elma at the Elma Hospital to Clarence and Lola (Dotson) Price. She attended Elma and Montesano schools before starting her career as a waitress, cook, ridge-packer and store cashier from which she retired in 2002.
Punky was married to Larry Harris (deceased) and had four children, Lori Soroka, of Debary, Florida, Loren Harris Jr., of Aberdeen, Leon Harris, of Aberdeen and Lindsey Harris of Seattle. Punky was also married to Robert Roman (deceased). Together they had one son, Robbie Roman of Montesano. She married Harvey Williams in September of 1967. He survives her at the family home in Hoquiam. She has 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. For many years Punky had a friendly feud with Roger Meyers over who had the best Goulash. The feud was never settled. Roger said he was the leader and Punky was the follower. “Now Roger you are the follower and I’m the leader”.
Punky enjoyed crocheting, ceramics and collecting clowns and butterflies. She was a member of Harbor Assembly of God in Hoquiam and also attended Montesano Assembly of God. She also attended the Elma Church of God as she was growing up. A memorial service for Punky and her son, Leon Harris will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Elma Church of God.
