Darla Sue (Smith) Harvill, age 54, a resident of Aberdeen, passed away on March 6, 2013, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital. She was born on August 5, 1958, in Aberdeen, Washington and was the loving daughter of Gary Leon and Arlene Ray (Godfrey) Smith.
She was raised and attended school in Hoquiam, Washington and had a free spirit and a real zest for life.
Darla Sue had worked at Grays Harbor Paper for seven years, then as a accomplished telemarketing manager for an additional thirteen years where she traveled all over the United States and made many friends. She dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren and would always tell them (I love you bigger than all the stars in the sky).
She enjoyed berry picking, tending her garden and spending time with her family camping.
She is survived by her two daughters, Brandalee A. Smith of Aberdeen and Katrina R. and her husband, Nick Jones of Matlock; her mother, Arlene R. Pink of Hoquiam; her father, Gary L. Smith of Fresno, Calif.; two grandchildren, Jennifer Plute and Steven May; two brothers, Jess Peak of Hoquiam and Brian Peak of Aberdeen and a sister, Brenda Couch of Gardenville, Calif.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at the Coleman Mortuary Chapel in Hoquiam.
Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
The urn that Darla’s earthly remains will be held in nicely sums up, in one sentence, how fondly she will be remembered: Our Angel that lived, laughed, and loved.
This Obituary is in honor of our dearest Mother. It is our tribute to her memory, which will be carried on in the legacy of love which is now each of us – the lives she formed and touched by her love.
