Family surrounded Dave Johnson when he passed at Virginia Mason Hospital on July 26, 2012. He was 53 years old. He was a wonderful and caring father, son, brother, and uncle.
Dave was born August 27, 1958, in Aberdeen Washington, to the late Ervin and Carolyn Johnson. As a lifelong resident of Aberdeen, he had many family and friends who enjoyed his company on fishing and hunting trips. He was an avid outdoorsman whose journey in life took him to remote areas of the Northwest and Alaska in pursuit of his passion.
Dave was also an avid golfer who was a standout on his Aberdeen High School team. He was a member of Grays Harbor Country Club where he continued to compete in numerous tournaments and events.
After graduating from J.M. Weatherwax High School in 1976, Dave attended Washington State University and earned his BA degree in 1981. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity where he forged many lifelong friends.
Dave worked at Industrial Electric Service Company in Aberdeen, and eventually became part owner. He is survived by two sons, Matthew Johnson and Jeff Johnson, both of Aberdeen; his brother, Ken Johnson of Aberdeen; his sister, Linda Johnson Moline of Seattle; his nephew, Scott Moline and his niece, Katharine Moline, both of Seattle. Dave’s family and friends will all miss his laugh, and his natural ability to make them laugh.
A celebration of Dave’s life is planned at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2012, at Grays Harbor Country Club. Please visit www.harrisonfamilymortuary.com to sign the online book of memories or to light a memorial candle. Arrangements are entrusted to Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
