David Bruce Harrington went home to our Lord on Memorial Day, after battling cancer for a year. He is survived by his mother, Joanne (Boling) McDougall and step-father, Ron McDougall of Aberdeen; son, Zachery Harrington and grandson, Devik Harrington of Hoquiam; siblings, Cathy (Curt) Hartly of Phoenix, Ariz. and Jack (Myrtle) McDougall of Aberdeen; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Arlen Harrington; and three brothers, Brian and Thomas Harrington and Darrin McDougall; as well as nephew, Daniel Harrington.
David was raised in Grayland and graduated from Ocosta High School in 1979. He had also lived in Springfield, Aloha and Gaston, Oregon.
David had worked for Brady’s Oysters and was a carpenter for Westport Shipyards. He was an avid fisherman, boat builder, baker and cook. David enjoyed working on, painting and riding motorcycles. He loved camping and being outdoors.
David was a loving father, son and friend and will be missed by all those who loved him.
