David Eugene Gozart, age 59, a resident of Grays Harbor City, died on Friday, November 23, 2012, at his home. David was born on November 5, 1953, in Aberdeen, Washington to Edward F. Gozart and Iris D. (Ashenbrenner) Gozart. He graduated from J.M Weatherwax High School in 1972.
David followed in his father’s footsteps working on the Harbor in the woods products industry. He was a long-time log scaler in Grays Harbor, most recently working for the Pacific Rim Log Scaling Bureau.
David was a NASCAR racing fan and enjoyed his time behind the wheel of his own stock drag racer at Puget Sound tracks.
Surviving relatives include a brother, Alan Gozart (Gail) of Aberdeen and nephews, Jonathan Gozart and Aaron Gozart (Tanya), grand-nephews, Braxton Gozart and Benjamin Gozart. Also surviving is his sister, Sue Beden (Blaine) and nieces, Megan Gunn (Johnny) and Katie Beden. David was preceded in death by his father and mother.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2515 Sumner Avenue, Aberdeen, Washington. A private inurnment will be held at the Aberdeen Fern Hill Cemetery.
