Mark G. Anderson

A memorial service for Aberdeen resident Mark Gerald Anderson, who died Oct. 22, 2013, in Aberdeen, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Aberdeen. A reception will follow at the Aberdeen Eagles.

Arrangements are by the Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

Mary G. Kaplan

PORTLAND, Ore. — Longtime Aberdeen resident Mary Gean Kaplan died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. She was 69.

She had worked as a school bus driver for the Aberdeen School District for 25 years.

A celebration of her life is being planned and will be announced as soon as details become available.

Arrangements are by the Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

Leona Auer

Longtime Harborite Leona Auer died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation in Aberdeen. She was 102.

She was a retired teacher, author and former member of the Hoquiam Farmers Market.

Visitation will be Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, at the Sunset Memorial Park in Hoquiam. A celebration of her life will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the United Christian Church in Aberdeen.

Zora Simac

Zora Simac of Aberdeen died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Aberdeen. She was 93.

Services are being planned and will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are by the Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

Garry Thrasher

OLYMPIA — Garry Thrasher of Copalis Crossing died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 63.

Arrangements are by the Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

James Madison

James R. Madison, a resident of Hoquiam, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 74.

He had worked as a logger for various companies on the Harbor.

A funeral is being planned and will be announced in a later edition of the The Daily World.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

William Anderson

TACOMA — Lifelong Harborite William K. Anderson died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, in Tacoma after a short illness. He was 63.

He worked as a body and fender man.

A service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, at St. John’s Cemetery in the Wishkah Valley.
