Patsy J. Vandel

Hoquiam resident Patsy Jean Vandel died at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013. She was 62.

She had worked at Pacific Care Center and as a home-care provider.

A celebration of life is being planned and will be announced in The Daily World.

Cremation arrangements are by the Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

John C. Carlson

John Conrad Carlson of Aberdeen died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, in Aberdeen. He was 80.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He taught school in Hoquiam, Everett and 23 years at Miller Junior High in Aberdeen.

Funeral services are being planned and will announced in The Daily World.

Arrangements are by the Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

Betty Kuhlmann Deymonaz

OLYMPIA — Betty Kuhlmann Deymonaz, a resident of Grayland for the last 20 years, died on Sunday, February 3, 2013, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. She was 81.

A rosary will be said at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at the St. Paul Catholic Church in Westport, followed by a memorial Mass at 11 a.m. A reception for family and friends will be in the church social hall following the Mass.

A graveside service of inurnment will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Renton, followed by a reception at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Renton.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice or to the St. Paul Catholic Church Memorial Fund.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
