Martin Schefstrom

Hoquiam resident Martin Schefstrom died at Grays Harbor Community Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013. He was 86.

A celebration of his life is being planned and will be announced in The Daily World.

Arrangements are by the Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

Gilbert L. Krigbaum

OLYMPIA — Gilbert Lee Krigbaum, a longtime South Beach resident and crab fisherman, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 83.

He had come to Westport in the 1940s and started in the crab fishing industry as a young man, retiring in 2006.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13 at the Church of the Living Hope in Westport. Private burial will take place in Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen.

Michael A. Johnson

OLYMPIA — Michael Allen Johnson of Raymond died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 41.

He worked as the manager for the Grays Harbor and Pacific Conservation Districts working on salmon fisheries recovery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, in the chapel at the Harrison Family Mortuary in Aberdeen. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Raymond Elks Lodge.

George J. Piontek Jr.

Ocean Shores resident George Joseph Piontek Jr. died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 79.

He had worked as a customer service manager at Boeing for many years.

Cremation arrangements are by the Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
