Jerry Lauver

Ocean Shores resident Jerry Lauver died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 81.

He was a Korean War veteran and retired from Boeing Company after 37 1/2 years service.

A memorial service is being planned and details will be announced later.

Arrangements were by Evergreen Washelli in Seattle.

Marcella K. Mielke

ELMA — East County resident Marcella Katherine Mielke died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma. She was 89.

A potluck and celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Montesano Moose Lodge.

Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

Brenda Garner

OCEAN SHORES — Ocean Shores resident Brenda Garner died Sunday, March 10, 2013, in Ocean Shores. She was 81.

Elizabeth (Betsy) Johnson

OLYMPIA — Longtime Westport resident Elizabeth (Betsy) C. Johnston died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in Olympia. She was 87.

She was a long time member and officer of TOPS in Aberdeen.

A potluck and celebration of her life will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at the Hoquiam Timberland Library.

Clarence E. Nulf

Clarence Earl Nulf of Aberdeen died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 86.

A celebration of his life is being planned and will be announced in The Daily World.

Cremation arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.

Dale A. Sylvia

WESTPORT — Dale Allen Sylvia died at his residence in Westport on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. He was 56.

Dorothy W. Smith

MONTESANO — Former longtime Southern California resident Dorothy Welch Smith of Aberdeen died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, in Montesano. He was 89.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Roger Isom

VANCOUVER, Wash. — Roger W. Isom, former resident of Humptulips and Aberdeen, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at a Vancouver, Wash., care facility. He was 53.

A memorial service is planned for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Hoquiam. Inurnment will take place in the Humptulips Cemetery.
