Donald A. Thompson, died at his home on May 5, 2013, at the age of 76 years.
Don was born July 30, 1936, in Auburn, Washington. He graduated from Elma High School in 1955. Don owned and operated a dairy farm in Porter until 1979. He then moved to Tacoma, where he owned and operated a landscape and lawn service business. Don returned back to Elma after his retirement.
He was a kind and loving man who enjoyed socializing with family and friends. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, watching sports and old western movies.
Don is survived by his sister, Betty Houghton of Bellevue; brother, Walter S. Thompson of Auburn; daughter, Angie Salvaggi (Mike) of Elma; daughter, Patty Pearson of Chehalis; daughter, Diana Wall (John Specht) of Olympia; seven grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be held at Whiteside Family Mortuary in Elma, Wash. at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013, with a celebration following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an organization or charity of your choice.
