Donanna Genevieve Wyatt, 87, a lifetime resident of the Harbor, died at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, in Aberdeen on Saturday, October 20, 2012. She was born April 7, 1925, in Akron, Indiana, the daughter of Ezra O. and Ella May (Sebring) Luellen.
As a baby she came to the Harbor with her family and graduated from J.M. Weatherwax High School in 1943. She had worked as a receptionist for Dr. Charles Cowherd, an optometrist, in the 1960’s and then as a clerk at Walt Failor’s Dress Shop in the 1970’s.
Donanna married John R. Wyatt on December 5, 1970, and helped operate their shoe store, Wygan’s Shoe Store on Wishkah St. until she retired in the late 1980’s. Mr. Wyatt died here in 2003.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing doll clothes, making dolls and needlepoint.
Donanna is survived by a step-son, John R. Wyatt of Kent, Wash.; a step-daughter, Kathleen Bernethy of Puyallup; two nieces, Renee Cummings of Aberdeen and Rebecca Cummings of Renton; a nephew, Steven Luellen of Elma; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother in 1965, Jesse Luellen; and a sister in 1994, Marjorie Cummings.
