Donna Marie Buren, 75 years of age and a longtime Hoquiam area resident, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Aberdeen, Washington. She was born on September 24, 1937, in Hoquiam, Washington to Lincoln Lewis and Florence (Bublitz) Snyder.
She attended Emerson Grade School and then Hoquiam Junior High School and Hoquiam High School.
Donna worked in a meat factory, for a laundry service and as a motel maid. She attended the area Baptist churches. She had been a volunteer with Coastal Communications and RSVP since 1998.
She enjoyed family picnics and reunions. Her hobbies included sewing, crafts, crossword puzzles and gardening. Her favorite places were the beach (where she could clam dig), the woods and the ocean.
Donna is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, John B. and Virginia of Hoquiam, Washington and Larry L. and Sally Snyder of Olalla, Washington; three sons, Robert E. Buren (Barbara) of Arizona, Daniel L. Buren formerly of Oregon and William David Buren of Texas; her sisters, Sally Jackson and Judy Reeves both in California and Winnie Sanders of Arlington, Washington; as well as other relatives. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marion Jones of Seattle and Bonnie Anderson of Rainier, Washington.
Private inurnment will be at the Sunset Memorial Park Urn Garden in Hoquiam.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Coleman Mortuary Chapel in Hoquiam.
