Frances Evelyn Norman, 85, a longtime Raymond resident died Sunday, April 21, 2013, at the Willapa Harbor Hospital in South Bend. She was born February 29, 1928, in Astoria, Oregon to Oscar and Aune (Harrison) Hansen. Frances graduated from the Naselle High School.
She was a member of the V.F.W., the American Legion, and the Raymond Eagles. Frances had volunteered in years past at the Pacific County Fair for the Lions Club booth. She spent a lot of her time working, for many years she bartended for the Raymond V.F.W. She and her former husband also owned and operated the Raymond Tavern. Frances enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching television in her spare time.
Frances is survived by daughters, Gayle Johnson, Vicki Preinesberger, Valerie Emerson, and step-daughter Debbie Buchanan all of Raymond; step-son, Kenny Lang of Oregon; brother, Donald Hansen of South Bend; 9 grandchildren, Sonya, Denise, Richard, Mark, Darrin, Clifford, Bobbi, Ronny and Christopher; and 14 great-grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
