Gregorio Delgado Gonzalez, a long-time resident of Cosmopolis, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2013, surrounded by his family and friends with Mexican music playing. He fought a courageous battle with cancer. Greg, also known as Goyo, was born in Morenci, Arizona on June 2, 1931.
He was a strong family man; he liked to watch his grandkids sports activities; loved to watch the Mariners and Seahawks; and cowboy movies. He liked going to the casino and garage sales; playing music with the Tees and the Hometown Country band; loved to travel to Arizona to visit family and friends; loved poker games in his garage with his friends; and loved his boats, going fishing and smoking fish.
Greg worked for Weyerhauser Saw Mill for 28 years.
As the patriarch of the Gonzalez family, Greg lives on through his loving children, Martha Rozin, Anna (Cary) Priamos, Angie (Todd) Moulton, Rebecca Gonzalez, Greg Gonzalez III, Monica (Gary) Morey, Jessica Gonzalez; and family, the mother of his children, Tichi Gonzalez; also survived by Blanche Dean; Billy Dean; Jonna VanWyck; and Misty Dean. He is also survived by his brother, Pete (Cheta) Delgado; sisters, Josie Villa and Cathy (Bobby) Delhanty; 23 precious grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Waiting in Heaven were his parents, Conrada and Rudy Tafalla; and his son, Andy Gonzalez.
There will be a celebration of life at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013, at the Cosmopolis Lions Club with a potluck following.
