Henry (Hank) Dombroski, 99, of Centralia, Washington, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Liberty Country Place in Centralia.
After graduating from J.M. Weatherwax High School in Aberdeen, Hank worked at the Broadway Service Station, Rainier Pulp in Hoquiam, and also worked for Sears for 38 years in Aberdeen and Chehalis.
In 1932, Hank joined the Naval Reserves. He was called to Active Duty from 1940 until 1945. He spent time on 6 ships as a Radio Operator. Two of his ships, the Lexington and the Hornet were sunk. Two others were badly damaged.
In 1939, Hank married Louise Holton of Caldwell, Idaho. He is survived by two daughters, Shary (Mike) Frankfurter, and Kay (Duane) Frojen; a brother, Richard Dombroski of Spokane; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Kujawa; father, Constantine Dombroski; sister, Francis; and brothers, Leonard, Chester and Robert.
Hank will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A service for Hank will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the Sticklin Funeral Chapel in Centralia.
