Henry Nelson Bickmore, Jr. (Hank), age 77, of Elma, Washington, passed away of a long time illness on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at his home with his wife, Janette, children and friends at his side.
He was born in Garland, Maine, on March 25, 1935, to Henry N. and Alice Bickmore. Hank married Janette Maria Stymiest on January 21, 1958 in Corina, Maine. Hank joined the Army in 1953, was discharged in June of 1961, then moved to Washington State in 1964 where he was a police officer for 4 years. Hank loved to hunt and fish, play pool and spend time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janette; daughters, Sheila Lemmon and Cindy Bickmore; and son, Mark Bickmore all of Elma, Washington. Son, Michael Bickmore preceded him in death in 1991. He has 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving him are his brother, David Bickmore; and sister, Brenda Colbath.
Services are to be held graveside at the McCleary Cemetery in Mccleary, Washington at 2:00 p.m. on February 13, 2013, with a gathering following at the Baptist Church at 1059 Elma-Monte Rd., in Elma, Wash.
