James “Jimmy” Michael Dean Simpson, resident of Hoquiam/Humptulips area, went home with the Lord on August 15, 2012. Jimmy was born in Aberdeen, Washington, on August 5, 1981, to Laura Kim Simpson of Elma.
Jimmy was raised in the Hoquiam/Humptulips area by his grandfather, Harry C. Simpson, who he called Dad and Anne Parker, who he called Mom. Jimmy was close to his parents and treasured the relationship he had with his Mother, Kim Simpson.
Jimmy enjoyed working on cars, riding quads, bikes, sports and reading. Jimmy was a fun loving guy with a quick smile and big heart. He valued spending time with his family and friends.
Jimmy is survived by his grandmother, Karen Funk of Shelton; parents, Harry C. Simpson, Kim Simpson and Anne Parker; brother, Charlie Ray Simpson of Spokane, Wash.; sisters, Karen R. Simpson of Friday Harbor, Terra Chapman of Humptulips and Tammy McCloskey of Adna, Wash. He was very close to his nephews, Taylor Ray Simpson of Spokane, Wash., and Jesse West, Joel Williams and Raymond Chapman of Humptulips. He is also survived by his aunts, Terrie Stutesman of Elma and Bonnie Simpson of Humptulips; uncles, Harry Simpson Jr. of Hoquiam and Rod G. Simpson of Elma; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jimmy had a special spot in his heart for all of his family and friends and will always have one in ours. He will be missed tremendously by all.
A memorial for Jimmy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at the Humptulips Valley Church, 1927 Kirkpatrick Rd., Humptulips. A potluck will follow the service. Any questions, call his mom, Anne Parker at (360)987-2528 or his mother, Kim at (360) 861-8511.
